About WYN

The World, As Seen By The Young.

청년이 보는 사회 그대로 보도합니다 — 서울에서 세계로.

WYN is an independent broadcasting network built on the voices of young people. From our founding bureau in Seoul, we capture the culture, power, and identity of a generation inheriting a world in flux.

Independent Broadcasting

A neoteric broadcasting network capturing the raw, kinetic pulse of youth culture through a global lens — starting from the heart of Seoul.

The Young Lens

We report the world as seen by the young — on culture, power, identity, and the world they are inheriting. Youth perspective is not a niche; it is the whole story made visible.

Seoul Outward

Founded in Seoul with a contributor network spanning the globe, our correspondents report from their own cities and communities in real time.

How We Report

Editorial Standards

편집 원칙 — 공정하고 투명한 청년 중심 보도를 약속합니다.

Our editorial process, fact-checking policies, and the commitments we make to our readers — so that what you read here is fair, accurate, and unmistakably from the perspective of the young.

Reporting First

We report before we opine. Every story begins with on-the-ground reporting, primary sources, and the lived experience of young people closest to the story.

Fair & Independent

We are independent of political parties, advertisers, and outside owners. Our coverage follows the evidence, not an agenda — and we disclose any relationship that could shape it.

Youth-Focused

We center the perspective of the generation inheriting this world. Youth is not a demographic we chase; it is the lens through which the whole story becomes visible.

Our Editorial Process

01

Pitch & Assignment

A contributor pitches a story through the Contributors page. Our editorial desk reviews it for originality, newsworthiness, and fit with our youth-focused mission before assignment.

02

Reporting & Sourcing

The reporter gathers primary sources — interviews, documents, and on-the-ground observation. We require at least two independent sources for any factual claim, and we name sources whenever it is safe to do so.

03

Fact-Check

A dedicated editor verifies names, dates, figures, and quotes against the record. Claims that cannot be verified are cut or clearly attributed. Uncertainty is stated, not buried.

04

Edit & Review

Editors refine structure, clarity, and tone without changing the reporter's findings. OP-ED pieces are labeled as opinion and held to a separate standard of argument and disclosure.

05

Publish & Correct

Once published, we stand behind the work — and we correct it when we are wrong. Every correction is noted on the record, never silently erased.

Fact-Checking Policy

  • Every factual claim is checked against at least two independent sources before publication.
  • On-the-record sources are named; anonymous sources are used only when safety or access requires it, and the reason is explained to the reader.
  • Figures, dates, and direct quotes are verified against the original record — not a secondary report of it.
  • When information cannot be verified, we say so plainly rather than implying certainty.
  • Corrections and updates are logged visibly on the article, with the date and what changed.

Our Commitments to Readers

Corrections, Not Erasure

When we get something wrong, we fix it openly. A correction note is added to the article with the date and the change made — we do not silently rewrite history.

Updates, Clearly Marked

When a story develops, we update the piece and mark what is new. A reader should always be able to tell what was known when, and what changed.

Disclosure of Interests

Contributors disclose any personal, financial, or political interest in their story. If a relationship could shape coverage, we tell the reader before they have to ask.

Questions About Our Standards?

If you believe we have fallen short of these standards, or want to request a correction, email us at editorial@wyn.network. We read every message and take each one seriously.

Our Standards

Community Guidelines

커뮤니티 가이드라인 — 안전하고 존중받는 공간을 함께 만듭니다.

These standards exist to keep our space safe, honest, and open to the conversation our audience deserves.

Respect the Conversation

We welcome debate and disagreement, but attack ideas — not people. Harassment, personal attacks, and hate speech have no place here.

Engage in Good Faith

Share honestly. Do not spread misinformation, impersonate others, or manipulate the discussion with bad-faith arguments.

Protect the Space

Doxxing, threats, or revealing private information about anyone — contributors or fellow readers — results in immediate removal.

Welcomed

  • +Constructive criticism of ideas and reporting
  • +Personal stories and lived experience
  • +Questions that deepen the discussion
  • +Disagreement expressed with civility

Prohibited

  • −Hate speech or slurs targeting identity
  • −Harassment, threats, or intimidation
  • −Spam, promotion, or off-topic flooding
  • −Sharing private information about others

How We Moderate

Our editorial team reviews reported content and takes action based on these guidelines. Consequences range from a warning to permanent removal, depending on severity and repeat behavior.

To report a comment or piece of content, use the report flag or email community@wyn.network. We review every report, though we may not respond individually.
